The Bridge Mortgage Scheme (Bridge Homes)

The mortgage portion of the scheme sets out to assist Network members to buy/build their own homes. The principal characters in the scheme are:

The National Housing Fund:

This is an agency of the Federal Government of Nigeria set up to assist Nigerians in having their own buildings.

The Primary Mortgage Institutions:

These are the financial organizations that the NHF interfaces with in the provision of loan facilities to individual and corporate beneficiaries.

The Bridge:

A beneficiary group of persons, set to access the NHF collectively though with individual liabilities.

The steps involved in this process are listed forthwith.

You are free to operate outside the purview of the cooperative.

You will of course have to forgo the privilege of having the cooperative guarantee your NHF loan with the PMI.

*** Please be reminded that there is a gestation period (at least 6 months) between registration with the scheme and loan processing by the mortgage brokers.
